We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Our Sacred Teaching for today is Humility:
In life we need to understand humility. Humility is the factor, which allows us to ask humbly for guidance.

This is Week 2 Today is Wednesday, January 24th.

There will be a dance club practice tomorrow from 2:50 pm- 4:00 pm in the cafeteria. New members are welcome!

Ms. Fisher and Mr. DeMone will be stationed in the front lobby from 8:30am - 8:45am each day this week to collect ski trip forms.  This will be the last week for you to hand in forms.  For those who didn't receive forms, you can pick one up during this time. 

The badminton club sign-up sheet has been posted to the SHJH Website, if you are interested in playing badminton or trying out for the team this year this group is for you. If you have any questions please see Mme. Morrissey in room 230.

Another reminder to grade 7-8 students that you are not to travel through the grade 6 hallway when going downstairs or upstairs. When you are leaving Mme Barrette’s and Ms Thompson’s rooms you need to go to the right and up the main stairwell.

Good luck to the girls basketball team in their game today at Harold T. Barrett! Also remember the team has a practice tomorrow morning at 7:30am.
