We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Our Sacred Teaching for today is Humility:
In life we need to understand humility. Humility is the factor, which allows us to ask humbly for guidance.

A reminder that the SHJH Pickleball club will meet Thursday, Jan 4 after school from 2:50 - 4:15. It is open to anyone so if you have not come out before you are still welcome to show up and play! Remember you do need proper footwear to participate.

Today is National Ribbon skirt day. Wear your ribbon skirt or shirt with pride whether you’re at school, at home or on the road!!

All students wanting to audition for the Spring production should check the bulletin board outside of the Learning Centre for updates. Auditions start Monday so please remember your time and arrange for your drives to pick you up after your time is over.
