This is Week 1 Today is Tuesday, November 14th.

Today is the second day of Diwali. Diwali means 'row of lights' and is the Hindu New Year. Diwali lasts for 5 days: Day 2 celebrates the triumph of the god Vishnu.

Good luck to all of the students participating in the school chess tournament today. The tournament will take place in the cafeteria from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. Those involved in the tournament, please come right down after these announcements, with teacher’s permission.

For the information of students and staff, Ms. B is not in today.

Reminder to the male/male identifying volleyball team that we have an away game today at H.T. Barrette after school. If you need a drive or cannot make it please let coaches know before lunch.

The GSA meets today at lunch. The first lunch GSA meets in room 146 (Ms. Little's room) and second lunch GSA is in room 208 (Mr. Holley’s room). These groups are open to all students who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and their allies. New members are always welcome!

Trans Awareness Week takes place the week before Transgender Day of Remembrance on November 20, a day to honour the memory of transgender people.
Each year between November 13 – 19, people and organizations around the country participate in Transgender Awareness Week to help increase understanding of transgender people and the issues members of the community face.
