We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

This is Week 1 Today is Wednesday, November 15th.

Today is the third day of Diwali. Diwali means 'row of lights' and is the Hindu New Year. Day 3 celebrates Lakshmi; the goddess of prosperity.

There will be a leadership meeting today in Mrs. Mercer’s room during second lunch.

Tomorrow: Thursday, November 16th, will be the last home game for the male and male identifying volleyball team. Come show your support!

Trans Awareness Week takes place the week of November 13 – 19. During the week people and organizations around the country participate in Transgender Awareness  to help increase understanding of transgender people and the issues members of the community face. just before Transgender Day of Remembrance is November 20. On this day people honour the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.

Congratulations to our chess players who competed yesterday, we had a tie for first ( Timmy and Malcolm) and a tie for third (Laughlan and Adam) There will be a chess-off during second  lunch today.
