Sackville Heights Junior High

October 13th, 2023

We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Our Sacred Teaching for today is Truth
“If you cannot find the truth right where you are, where else do you expect to find it?”

A huge shout out to our cross country team!!!!!! They ran yesterday at the Capital Region Regionals cross country race and all did well! One in particular made it to Provincials!!!!!! Zack Nurnber of 6-7 who came 12 out of 380 boys! These were grade 6 to grade 8 runners.
We were crossing our finger that Our boys Drew Osmond, Brody Brewer,  Greyson Crawford and Mason Berkvens would make the top 5 team to go to provincials as well but we missed it by a mear 2 points! So close! This meet will take place in Cape Breton later in the month!

All items in the lost and found bin (located at the entrance to the grade 6 wing of the school) will be donated at the end of next week. Please check for any lost items!
Have a Fabulous Friday SHJH!
