We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Our Sacred Teaching for today is Truth
“If you cannot find the truth right where you are, where else do you expect to find it?”

This week 1, today is Monday October 16th.

Today we will have our first gathering of the Monday Morning mindfulness group. This is an opportunity to learn some mindfulness practices to help ease into the week. If you’re interested, please speak with your teacher and then join us in the library immediately following these morning announcements.

There will be a meeting of all students who signed up for the school announcement team Tuesday after school from 2:45-3:45. Please let Mr. Carruthers know if you cannot attend. Students will have to arrange to be picked up afterwards.

Cross country runners, our last practice will be tomorrow!

Male and Male identifying volley practice Wednesday, October 18th, from 2:50pm-4:00pm. All team members must attend. Please let coaches know in advance if you cannot be there.

Both male and female soccer players please listen for an announcement this afternoon regarding if today’s games will take place. If they are cancelled please come prepared to play tomorrow.

Starting October 30th, we will be starting spirit week. Mondays theme is PJ day, Tuesday it'll be Costume day, Wednesdays theme will be Anything But A Backpack, Thursday will be Music Genre, and Fridays theme will be Freaky Friday.
