Sackville Heights Junior High

October 6th, 2023

We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Our Sacred Teaching for today is Truth
“If you cannot find the truth right where you are, where else do you expect to find it?”

Art club is today during first and second lunch in the library. All students are welcome to attend.

The big mural "Better Together" at the back of the school has been completed. WE are thankful to the  very helpful students who created it, Claire Holman, Elianna Halfyard, Alivia Bannerman ,Grace Henry, Gabe Langille, Caleb Klebert, Ahana Aurora, Reese Osmond and Harbour Pichette. A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Bruce-MacTavish and  Halifax Regional Arts. There are plans for another mural  in the art hallway in November.  Stay tuned  for the announcement about signing up.
