We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Our Sacred Teaching for today is Truth

This is week 2, today is Tuesday October 10th.

Male and Male identifying volleyball team roster has been posted on the bulletin by the gym. There will be a practice tomorrow, Wednesday October 11th, after school in the gym.

Today is the third try-out for the female/female identifying volleyball team. Thank you to everyone who has tried out so far and we wish we could take more of you. Today is the last try-out and the list for all those invited back from all grades is on the bulletin board outside the gym.

There will be a meeting Thursday, October 12th in Ms. Cochrane’s room at 12pm for all students that were involved in Aladdin last year. Anyone not on second lunch must ask their teacher before for permission to attend. Any questions? Please come see Ms. Legge in the Learning Centre.

The library will be in use today and tomorrow during the   mornings, and all day Thursday. Afternoon classes are still welcome today and tomorrow but not Thursday. If any other student needs to change or get a book on those days it can only be when the library is not occupied. Alternatively they are welcome to make use of the hold feature and the drop off box will remain in place.

There will be a Leadership Meeting in Mrs. Mercer’s room during second lunch tomorrow, Oct. 11. Please check the Google classroom before this time and vote on your favorite theme day ideas.

GSA meets today during both 1st and 2nd lunch.
