Sackville Heights Junior High

June 28th, 2023

We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Our Sacred Teaching for June is Respect
“In the end we are all separate: our stories, no matter how similar, come to a fork and diverge.

We are drawn to each other because of our similarities, but it is our differences we must learn to respect”.

This is week 1;
Today is Wednesday, June 28th.
