We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Our Sacred Teaching for June is Respect
“In the end we are all separate: our stories, no matter how similar, come to a fork and diverge. We are drawn to each other because of our similarities, but it is our differences we must learn to respect”.

This is week 2;
Today is Friday, June 23th.

Pride month celebrations will wrap up today with a lunch time party for GSA members. The First lunch party is in MsJarvis-Murray’s room and Second is in MsMercer’s room.

There will be a mini Pride Parade celebration at 11:40am during the first lunch. GSA members who are part of second lunch Fruit Basket are encouraged to get teacher permission to join us at that time. Bring your flags and meet out front of the school!

Reminder to grade 6 and Health teachers to complete the Pride Trivia before last block today.
