We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Our Sacred Teaching for March is “Truth”

“Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth”.

This is Week 2 Today is Monday, March 25th.

The sign -up list for the female and female identifying flag football team has been re-posted on the SHJH athletics webpage for those who didn’t get a chance to sign up prior to March break.  If interested, please sign up as the link will be taken down this week.  Continue to listen to announcements for tryout times.   

Tryouts for the male and male identifying team will be as follows: 
Tuesday, March 26 for grade 6s,
Wednesday, March 27, for grade 7s and
Thursday, March 28, for grade 8s.
The final tryout will be held Tuesday, April 2 for those who get called back for the three grade level tryouts.  All tryouts are from 3pm - 4:20pm.

We are starting set production for the dessert theatre. Any students who are interested in helping to paint sets should signup with Ms Oldford in her counselling office in the library.

We will be having a theme all week. 

Tuesday is Outrageous hair day or hat day.
Wednesday is Decade’s day - choose your favorite decade and come dressed to match the times
And finally Thursday will be our ever popular day PJ DAY

Any Grade 7 Family Studies student who did not finish their sewing projects are invited to come up today ON BOTH LUNCHES to finish their projects.  TODAY is THE LAST chance to finish before report cards. 

There will be a full cast rehearsal for the dessert theatre today until 4:15. Everyone must attend. Please plan your drives accordingly.
