We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Thank you to all our Chess Tournament participants who came out yesterday morning. Congrats to our three finalists. First place went to Abdul Harara. Second place went to Raheem Harara and third place went to Skyler Kelly. Special thanks to Aun Wasti for helping to organize the tournament as well.
