We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Our Sacred Teaching for today is Love:
Love is a force that is undeniable. With love all things are possible. It is everyone’s right to have and experience it.

This is Week 2 Today is Wednesday, February 7th.

Today’s person of Black Excellence was an organizer and activist for minority rights. In 1958, she became involved with the Canadian Negro Women’s Association and later formed the Congress of Black Women of Canada. Her name is Kay Livingston

A reminder to all that signed up for the badminton club: today will be our first day, it will run from after school until 4:00, and will be in the gym.

All cast members for the Dessert Theatre are asked to pick up their contracts in the Learning Centre. They must be returned to Ms. Legge in the Learning Centre ASAP.

Boys basketball practice tomorrow afterschool and again Monday morning at 7am.
