We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Our Sacred Teaching for today is Humility:
In life we need to understand humility. Humility is the factor, which allows us to ask humbly for guidance.

This is Week 2 Today is Monday, January 8th.

Monday Morning Mindfulness will be held this morning.This is an opportunity to learn some mindfulness practices to help ease into the week. If you’re interested, please speak with your teacher and then join us in the library immediately following these morning announcements.

The girls basketball team plays after school here at 3:30pm vs. GPV. Fans welcome.

Boys basketball team plays tomorrow afterschool at HTB.
They will also practice Wednesday from 4:15-5:45.

Drama Club is over for the year. Today, tomorrow, and next Monday are auditions only. Please know when your audition time is and plan your drives accordingly. If you are unable to make it, please speak to Ms. Legge to see if there will be a chance to arrange another time.

Pop choir will be accepting new members until next thursday january 18th. If you would like to come try it out, please come to one of our next 2 rehearsals. They take place on Thursdays from 2:50-4:00. There isn’t a sign up sheet anywhere in the building so just show up on the dates mentioned.
