November 21st, 2023

We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Our Sacred Teaching for today is Respect:
In all life, respect is the first and foremost. Respect oneself and respect will be bestowed.

Exciting news for all pickleball enthusiasts here at SHJH.  We are thrilled to announce the launch of the SHJH Pickleball Club, and we invite you to be part of the excitement.
What is Pickleball?  Pickleball is a fast-growing racquet sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It's easy to learn, provides excellent cardiovascular exercise, and is loads of fun!  Come ready to learn and play.  No experience or equipment necessary, except sneakers — we'll provide everything else you need to get started.  If interested, please use the online link found on our athletics webpage and listen to future announcements for our first meeting date.
If you have any questions or want more information, feel free to reach out to Mr. Williams or Mr. DeMone.  Get ready to smash, volley, and have a great time at the SHJH Pickleball Club! We can't wait to see you there. Teachers are also welcome!!!
For the information of staff and students, Ms. B is not in today.
