We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Did you hear? We are doing the musical Aladdin Jr. in April! We are still looking for a few people to play characters. We also need to know who is staying on for our magic carpet ride. We will be having two meetings next week. One will be on Tuesday, September 13th second lunch at 12:00 pm and the other will be on Thursday, September 15th at 11:20. These meetings will take place in room 103 only for those people who were signed up last year. Anyone interested who is new, can check the bulletin board outside 130 for audition and sign up details. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Cochane or Ms. Legge.

Attention all soccer players.  The girls first soccer tryout will be held today, Tuesday, September 13 from 2:45 - 4:15.  Tryouts will be held on the back field and are open to all grade levels.  Be sure you have signed up before attending.  If you have any questions please see Mr. DeMone.

To all students at SHJH we are looking for a number of students from each grade to participate in the morning announcements. If you're willing to commit for the year and interested in being involved as an on-air personality, 0r in our SHJH yearbook creation, in production or as a special events photographer please fill out an application at the library and turn it in by Thursday September 15. The students that are selected will be posted on the library window on Friday September 14.  Thanks to all that apply.
