Sackville Heights Junior High

December 11th, 2023

We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Our Sacred Teaching for today is Wisdom:
Wisdom is gained experience and knowledge is to know the difference and accept responsibility and accountability.

It is that time of the year again where we are going to do a fundraiser for Beacon House.  We are asking folks to bring in donations from Monday, Dec 11 until Monday Dec 18.  At the end of each day we will count your homeroom’s donations.  The following day the leadership students will be around to give your class snowman a stamp for every 5 dollars you have raised.  There are a lot of people in need of help this holiday season so we are hoping our SHJH community will step up and offer as much assistance as we can.

We are also going to have theme days during the last week  of school.  From Dec 18-20th
MONDAY  - Jersey day or school gear/colours
TUESDAY - Holiday wear - just about anything goes.  Red and green, Ugly sweaters,
ANtlers, you name it, we wanna see it!
WEDNESDAY - LAST DAY BEFORE BREAK!!!  PJ DAY
Anime club will take place today on second lunch in the family studies room (222)

Have a Marvelous Monday SHJH!
