We honour Mi’kmaq people who have taken care of this land and, at our school, we show respect for this land and work to make sure we keep taking care of it for all of us.

This is WEEK 2

The boys and girls sign-up list for basketball are now posted online.  The boys first tryout will be on Friday, November 29 from 3pm - 4:30.  All those who signed up are asked to attend. 

The school dance is today. The cost is 7 dollars.  Theme is Hawiian/Tropical.  Students must be at the dance no later than 7 pm to be permitted into the dance.
The coat check will be in room 103.  The cafeteria will be open for some snacks.

All students are reminded to please return any overdue books. Check the back of the book for the due date. Please be considerate of other students who are waiting for a book to be returned so they can borrow it. 

We have a puzzle zone set up in the library for all students to work on during both lunches.  There are students within our school that are destroying the work of these students.  This is not okay and is very disrespectful. Please DO NOT TAKE APART THE PUZZLE!

Reminder to the winners of the We Scare Hunger VIP room that they and their guest get into the dance for free and are able to attend the VIP room in the library all evening where pizza and snacks will be available.

There will extra help today on both lunches for grade 7’s who are not done their sewing projects.  All hand sewing projects must be completed by Thursday.

The Kindness Club and Me to We groups of SHJH will be holding a Sock Drive from November 25th-December 10th. Donations of new socks for men, women, and children can be brought to school and dropped off in the front foyer. Donations collected will be distributed to Phoenix House and the Elizabeth Fry Society. Any questions can be directed to Ms. Legge in Room 102.

Debate Club today is Ms. Cochrane’s room (room 103) during second lunch. All grade 7 and 8 students are welcome!

All Grade 8 Term 1 Tech Ed Students that were unable to fire their rockets last week, come to the Tech Ed. Room at 9:50 am today to fire your rockets with your teacher's permission.

Term one is now completed.  All grade 7 and 8 students are reminded that on Monday you go to your new TFA rotation.
