We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

Our Sacred Teaching for today is on Love and comes from a Ojibwa prayer:
“Teach us love, compassion, and honor that we may heal the earth and heal each other.”

Today is Thursday, January 5

Basketball Season is upon us! Regular Season play begins next week for both boys and girls teams.
Girls will practice today afterschool from 2:45-4:15.
Boys will practice Friday from 2:45-4:30.

Today there is a Fruit Basket meeting in room 152 during second lunch. We bought some supplies with the grant money- come check it out! New members welcome.

Tomorrow’s theme is jersey day.  Let’s show our support for team Canada after their big win last night. One more game for gold.

We are going to change up how we do our theme day next week. Instead of doing our theme on Friday we are going to do a Tech Tuesday.  So next Tuesday, come to school wearing your  tech hoodie or pants or both! 

A reminder that all backpacks are to be placed in lockers during class time! Teachers are asked to check for backpacks and ask students to return to lockers to put backpacks away. Students should not have backpacks in class

There will be a Pop choir rehearsal today from 3 to 4pm in the music room!
