We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

“In the end we are all separate: our stories, no matter how similar, come to a fork and diverge. We are drawn to each other because of our similarities, but it is our differences we must learn to respect?”

Today is Monday , November 14

There is no Aladdin rehearsal today after school. Please check the schedule for Wednesday.

Students interested in trying out for the boys and girls basketball team are asked to fill out the online form found on the athletics webpage.  Stay tuned for tryout times.  

Students interested in playing volleyball in our volleyball club after school are welcome to join in on Wednesday, after school until 4:00 in our gym.

Theme day for Friday is Crazy Hat Day: You can wear your favorite hat to school-the weirder and wackier, the better.

Attention all grade 8’s.  Are any of you interested in becoming part of the Heights Leadership?  We are opening up applications for grade 8 students interested in becoming part of a leadership committee.  If you are interested, please see Mrs Mercer for an application form. Please pick up forms during non instructional times.  All forms will be due back by Friday end of day. 

At the end of the day, students are NOT to run alongside a moving bus as they arrive to pick up students. This is extremely dangerous and can cause a serious accident if someone were to trip or fall. Students doing this will be addressed by admin and board the bus after all other students.
