We would like to begin by acknowledging that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”.

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

We are looking for some “Artsy” students who would like to help create a mural on the backside of our building with Mr. Carruthers and Mrs. Bruce-MacTavish with Halifax Regional Arts. Sign up will be in the main office.

Cross- country runners needed! This is a shout out to anyone who wants to learn how to run or improve your distance and speed! We will be running after school Mondays and Wednesdays. If interested come to grab a form which needs to be passed in before our first meeting next week. Come to Rm 236 at the grade 6 lunch or come find Mrs Hayward or Mrs Griffin.

Reminder, Grade ⅞ students cannot be down in the grade 6 wing during the day.

Finally, we would like to thank all the students that showed interest in being on the morning announcement crew. The list of successful applicants is posted on the library door. On Tuesday we would like all successful applicants to meet in the library after the first bell.
